If I could see medieval England

Visiting each day before

The battle-wary started marching

I would, all the Kings, Implore

Save your soldiers, put them busy

Sowing fields to trade for more

Fight to save your life and freedom

Not for gold or settled score

Still, one hundred thousand coins

Lying on the castle floor

Can’t return a single archer

Lost to England in a war

War of the Roses
