Life is very long, it seems

As seen from infancy

And shortens with the days that praise

Our own longevity

The lesson learned and truly earned

Now that my hair is thinning

I’ve failed to find a pattern

Or a trend

After all beginnings

Comes BEGINNING

After all the endings

Comes the END
