Good morning, good morning, it came without warning

And my eyes barely opened to see,

The sun in the sky

Was already on high

And the world was awake without me.

My mass seemed so massive, and my muscles so passive

From the sheets I could barely pull free.

But I knew as I lay there

The longer I stayed there

The less of a day there would be.

For over an hour after leaving the shower

The power returned to my veins.

The coffee was perking

And soon it was working

And logic was jerking my brain.

Now fully awake I found my mistake

The reason I wasn’t revived

The alarm wasn’t set,

How could I forget?,

The weekend had finally arrived.
